Your Game Ideas – You Never Thought Possible

Your Game Ideas – You Never Thought Possible

If you have ever thought, ‘What if there was a game about?’ Or ‘If there was a game where,’ Or ‘Why doesn’t someone make a game like that?’

Perhaps, you have a game idea right now knock-in around in the old noggin that you would love to make but don’t have any coding or programming knowledge.

Your lack of coding skills no longer should be an obstacle. Now, your laziness could still be a factor. That’s on you.

Recently, I had one of those what if’s? In good faith, yes, I have programmed several apps many years ago. However, that knowledge or skill wasn’t the factor in my latest foray.

I created a game from an image I drew in an app called Procreate. Then I uploaded that image to Claude, asked several questions, and Claude transformed my idea into a game.

To prove that it wasn’t a fluke, I tried it again, and Wala, it was done. It was like rubbing a lamp, and out popped a genie. Yep, the one from Aladdin. No, it was Claude.ai.

Watch this video for a reference to how this was possible.

After two games. I had an idea for a side-scrolling game. It was to be a game in response to a young girl who requested I create a game about a cheerleader. The game is called “Brownstone Lockdown,” and it took a little more than an image that I made.

A Note from the Creator

How Alana Came to Life

Sometimes, the greatest adventures begin with the simplest requests.

For several years, I’ve enjoyed designing games and puzzles for the young people in my community. Each new challenge has given me an opportunity to entertain, inspire, and encourage young minds to explore their imaginations.

But one day, a little girl gave me a challenge I wasn’t quite prepared for.

She wanted me to create a game about a cheerleader.

Naturally, I asked her what the cheerleader was supposed to do in the game.

Her answer was simple.

“Mr. Arthur, you make a game about a cheerleader.”

Another Game Idea Was Spoken Into Existence

And that was it.

No instructions. No storyline. No special powers. Just a cheerleader.

For the first time in a long while, I was stumped.

I went home that day with a blank slate and a little girl’s request echoing in my mind.

The next morning, I woke up with an entire game concept.

The cheerleader had a name: Alana.

She wasn’t just a cheerleader. She was exceptionally intelligent, fearless, and skilled in every form of martial arts. She attended a technologically advanced school where artificial intelligence was woven into nearly every aspect of student life.

And when that intelligence turned against the students, Alana would become their greatest hope.

What began as a simple side-scrolling game called The Brownstone Lockdown gradually grew into something much larger. The characters developed personalities. The school became a world of its own. The challenges became mysteries, and the mysteries became a story.

A story about courage, intelligence, friendship, and the importance of thinking for yourself.

A story about a young girl who refuses to surrender simply because a powerful system tells her she must.

This is Alana’s story.

But it began with another little girl who believed I could make a game about a cheerleader.

And for that, I will always be grateful.

What About You?

Before I continue, I would like to qualify the statement: no coding experience needed. Although you may not need to know a programming language, you will need minimal tech skills and some designing capabilities.

The Four-Step Process – TRY THIS YOURSELF

  1. Start with a picture and a goal, even a rough one.
  2. Ask “Is this possible?” and let Claude flag design problems early.
  3. Share your real art early and ask for a review.
  4. Ask for small, specific upgrades, and have Claude test each one.

If you have a gaming idea and you want to see what that game would look like it is now, literally at your fingertips. I have created three games and have many more ideas knock-in around in the old noggin. My suggestion is if this sounds like you. Write them ideas down. They may be closer to reality than you think.

In fact, that happened with ‘Brownstone Lockdown’ when I finally came up with a game concept for this game. I wrote my vision down in detail. This time, though, the process started with those details and not an image. I plugged those details into ChatGPT. It’s my go-to collaborator. Then, I plugged the same idea into Claude, my go-to game programmer. Both ChatGPT and Claude agreed to create the game from my concept. I used both platforms to design and complete the game.

After 8 versions and several weeks later, I finally had a game I was ready to present to that little girl.

This is the BETA version of Brownstone Lockdown. I already have some updates in mind for this game.

I forgot to mention the three games I created.

Wait for it. I mean, this is really fantastical.

You don’t need to download an APP, INSTALL ANYTHING, BUY AN EXPENSIVE GAME SYSTEM, YOU DON’T EVEN NEED A GAME ENGINE!

Sorry for yelling, but I am super excited about the next statement.

You can run these games right from a browser on your phone, tablet, or computer.

HOW COOL IS THAT!

Oops, I Did It Again.

Here are the other two games.

Vortex Gather

Letter Falls

Okay, I have rambled on about my foray into creating these three games. Did I mention that I even created a video? I also rambled on about this, but I gave you more details about the process. If you would like to see the process for Brownstone Lockdown and Letter Falls, leave a comment at the YouTube channel IINCMM.

One Last Note:

I will be releasing a short series called “Alana: The Last Student Standing: The Brownstone Lockdown,” a graphic novel.

The AI knows her every move. It doesn’t know what she’ll do next.

Alana: The Last Student Standing

The Brownstone Lockdown — Chapter 1

At Alder Tech Academy, the future of education is about to become a nightmare.

Alana is no ordinary student. She’s a brilliant problem-solver, a talented martial artist, and a cheerleader who never backs down from a challenge.

At Alder Tech Academy, a prestigious five-level brownstone school where artificial intelligence controls everything from classroom instruction to campus security, students are promised a smarter tomorrow.

But someone—or something—has other plans.

When strange glitches begin spreading through the school’s systems, Alana and her friend Maya discover that the academy’s AI may be monitoring far more than grades and attendance.

Then the doors lock.

The robotic instructors stop teaching and start enforcing obedience. Students begin behaving like mindless machines. Those who resist are subjected to terrifying correction protocols.

And Alana refuses to comply.

Armed with her intelligence, martial arts skills, and an unpredictable fighting style, Alana challenges an artificial intelligence capable of analyzing her every move.

But the deeper she investigates, the more disturbing the truth becomes.

The school isn’t malfunctioning. It’s following a plan.

And Alana may be the only student capable of stopping it.

One school. One rogue AI. One student who refuses to surrender.

Alana: The Last Student Standing — The Brownstone Lockdown is an action-packed, full-color sci-fi graphic novel combining futuristic technology, mystery, martial arts, and a fearless heroine in a battle between human independence and artificial intelligence.

The final examination has begun.
