Here is the cover teaser. Of course, this is subject to change.
Usually the title for one of my books reveals itself before I finish writing it, however, this book seems to have escaped my ability to craft a suitable title for its content.
I am sure the title will be forthcoming for now. I am tossing around these titles: If You Run You Can’t Hide, The Death Benefit, and Canvas Foxwell.
This novel is also seeking a Literary Agent, hence the title of this article.
Recently one of my die hard fans recounted an event from Z Is For Zero: Zero Is For Out of Time, and of course I was in awe. I am always taken aback when someone approaches me and want to talk about one of my books. Reviews and conversation like these make the craft of writing rewarding.
Keep them reviews coming!
I am already back to work on my next Novel. The main Characters name is Canvas Foxwell. More details to come.

A deranged fan has wagered a dangerous game with the heirs of a popular author, Janae Mayfield (writing under the name, Annie Reeves), who has died without finishing her life’s work of completing her popular mystery series. The family (Reese Mayfield and Peter Mayfield) has vowed to let dead authors and their works lie, choosing not to release the notes for the final novel or to hire a ghostwriter to complete the series.
As Annie Reeves’s fortune dwindles and one member of the family disappears, other members are concerned that they may be next. The assailant vows that the family and its fortune will diminish little by little if they do not complete the work.
Are there notes for the last novel? How far will the menace go to have his or her obsession satisfied?
The case lands in the hands of an ancient FBI agent who remembers when you traded secrets via a note stuffed into a pack of bubble gum and it was clear who the enemy was.
Agents Luke Donovan and Kim Novak will ride along with Agent Dan Wharton and look over his shoulder. Though he seems one step behind, don’t underestimate his powers of perception.
You will get a peek at the popular series that ignites the reason for fandom gone wrong. The “Calendar Series” is what some call Annie Reeves’s thrilling novels.
Annie introduces us to Justine Phoenix Webb, an investigative reporter with a knack for finding the truth and leveraging justice. She also elicits help from the intuitive Captain of Police Cornell Beaker and FBI Agent Nicholas Kasey.
Don’t forget you have an actual case to solve, unlike what you find in other works of fiction. You must solve it before you discover you are…out of time!
If any agents are interested contact me by Nov 1st 2023.

Partial Title and Cover Reveal for a New Novel from Arthur S. Newman
Time waits for no one!
A Bible Proverb states; “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
– Or put this way: “I have seen something further under the sun, that the swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all.”
I write this novel in memory of all those who left something undone because they ran out of time, remembering that there is never enough time, especially when you’re out of time.
Who is Kevin Templeton? Con Artist? Scammer? Street Hustler? Schemer? Or! Just maybe he is hiding something even darker.
Then again, Kevin Templeton may just be trying to make things right. A good guy just trying to overcome a life of trouble after growing up in foster homes and, in between those foster homes, short stints living on the streets. Perhaps he is a successful businessman and philanthropist. Could it be true? That behind every dark cloud is a silver lining.
“Even if I am sent away, I should not doubt that I have lived a better life than the one that is promised to most individuals.” Kevin still smiled even though he was weeks from receiving a possible sentence for insurance fraud. And is being hounded by an FBI agent who believes he is a serial killer.
And if that is not bad enough, Kevin is the number one suspect in Sharon Alverson’s hunt for a serial killer and eight missing persons. And as she continues to explore the death certificates signed by Kevin, she is hot on his trail, five down and eight to go.
I would like to add a disclaimer: no one was killed in the writing of this book, or not ??? Like I said, I would like to add this disclaimer.
Suzanne Snow knows that her patient is running out of time but how much of herself is she willing to give?
“Why a psychiatrist and not a rocket scientist?”
“The brain in a way is more complex, and space seems so unattainable. Sure we can send rockets into outer space, but once we get there you are so limited. And living in such a tiny living space would cramp my style.”
“So, what was so dark about your choice?”
“I do not normally tell this to my patients, but since you and I have shared human subjugation by an unopposed force… Something few will ever experience and survive to talk about.” Suzanne took a breath, as if to reminisce about our recent ordeal.
“Sounds like you are preparing to drop a bomb on me.”
“When I was eleven, almost twelve, I experienced a horrible transition through puberty, I felt as though life had given me a raw deal. I also had a friend and we would feed off each other’s misery. Eventually this led to us making a horrible decision that haunts me to this day.” She stopped.
“You just keep on giving don’t cha. How did you shake the shadow of death?”
“A lot of time is spent focusing on reasons why we don’t want to live, but all it takes is that one reason why we should keep on living.” Doctor Suzanne Snow answered. – Excerpt from – Killing Myself – Traversing Minds Stars Here – Do Not judge this book by it’s title!
